Chiropractic is based on the principle that the body has an innate intelligence that constantly seeks balance. When there is misalignment in the spine and joints, this hinders the nervous system--the master controller of the body from fully expressing itself, hence, symptoms appear which we call subluxations. Chiropractic care removes subluxations and thus restores balance keeping the spine, spinal cord and the nervous system healthy and functioning properly.

What is a Chiropractic treatment like?

 A Chiropractic doctor will do an examination of the patient after taking a comprehensive medical history. The exam includes range of motion, muscle tests, neurological tests, and orthopedic tests among others.  An x-ray and/or MRI may be ordered.  Following the exam, a treatment plan will be recommended. Specific techniques will be used to remove subluxations and restore balance to the body. Mobilization, stretches and handheld instruments such as an Activator or Percussive instrument may also be used when needed.
